Donna Bergman

Psychotherapist & Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner

Thank you for being here and for taking a moment to pause. Searching for a therapist can bring up many thoughts and feelings, and finding someone who feels like a good fit is definitely part of that process.

If you're here, something in you may be seeking support, clarity or a different way of relating to what's been difficult. You don't need to have the right words or a clear plan to begin.

I offer a supportive, reflective space to slow down, explore what feels stuck, and reconnect with yourself and your relationships. Finding the right therapist matters, you're welcome to take your time as you explore whether this feels supportive for you.

My Approach to Psychotherapy

Healing is not one-size-fits-all. What it looks like is unique to each person and can change over time. While therapy with me is individual, I see healing as connected to all parts of life: how we relate to ourselves, to others, and to the world around us. This includes our connection with nature, spirituality or a higher power, nourishment, loss/impermanence, and life’s natural cycles, as well as our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

We don’t heal in isolation. We heal in relationship.

My work is shaped by both professional training and my own lived experience of change, loss, and growth. Throughout my life, I’ve found that when I felt stuck, approaching things from a new perspective helped create movement and meaning.

Depending on your needs, we may draw from:

  • Mindfulness-Based Self-Compassion (MBSC)

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Ecopsychotherapy and nature-based reflection

  • Nutritional therapy

  • Art and creative expression

  • Bibliotherapy (healing through stories and reading)

These are not rigid techniques, but lenses—ways of seeing and relating differently to thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and experiences that are both personal and universal.

Therapy is a collaborative process. Together, we may explore:

  • Your relationship with yourself and your inner voice

  • How you relate to emotions, thoughts, and behaviors

  • Patterns in relationships

  • Your connection to nature, spirituality, or meaning

  • The impact of loss, change, and life transitions

  • How nourishment, rest, and creativity support your wellbeing

The goal is not perfection, but awareness, flexibility, and compassion.

An Invitation

Therapy is a space to pause, reflect, and reconnect—with yourself and with what matters most to you. You don’t have to do this alone.
